New Blood at Marathon Health
by Phil Davidson, Marathon Health

Allow us to introduce our newest hire at the Marathon Health headquarters in Vermont.
Jon Swartz is a western Massachusetts native who will be helping out on the customer service side by expanding Marathon Health’s analytical and reporting capacity. He’ll also take on some account management as well – a true double threat.
Jon comes to Marathon Health from BCBS of Vermont where he was a data analyst working on a variety of health reform and quality improvement issues. Jon first got to know Marathon Health about four years ago while pursuing a master’s degree in health policy & management in Maine. He was researching providers for a client interested in onsite healthcare and found that Marathon Health’s approach made more sense to him than almost any other approach to improving care and reducing costs. Shortly afterwards his wife started medical school at UVM in Burlington and with Marathon Health’s recent growth the stars aligned for him to take a job here.
When not working, Jon like long hikes with a camera in tow, playing soccer, and making what he claims are god-awful noises with his acoustic guitar, though we hear he’s a regular Jimmy Page.
Needless to say, Jon says he’s excited for the opportunity to work with everyone and to play his part in keeping the ball rolling forward.
