LFUCG officials last week announced they selected a location for a new Marathon Health clinic that will provide onsite healthcare services for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s 6,400 employees, retirees and dependents. Marathon Health is providing government employees and their families with ourMedicalHome@Work™ model, which includes primary care, occupational medicine, health assessments, health coaching, and disease management.

The new center, dubbed the Dr. Samuel Brown Center for Lexington City Employees and Retirees, is named after a pioneering Lexington doctor. Brown, who died in 1830, founded the Lexington Medical Society and was instrumental in developing a smallpox vaccine. The photo above shows the clinic’s location.
