This complete medical home includes many components such as preventative care, care coordination, technology to document and access evidence-based medical protocols, and a focus on helping people take personal responsibility for their health. We embrace this concept and call our approach the MedicalHome@Work™.

Hard work, big changes

A 59-year-old man came to a Marathon Health clinic weighing 290 pounds, had more than five risk factors, used a CPAP for sleeping, and took 11 different medications to control diabetes and hypertension. Over the last 18 months he has lost more than 75 pounds and is off his medications and no longer uses the CPAP machine. He is in the gym every day and has kept his weight off for more than a year.
